Heartless Douchbags
So, I’m sure that you have all heard about this massive hurricane down south named Katrina that pummeled the gulf coast. Anyway this hurricane supposedly left ten’s of thousands homeless and killed like 14 or so people so far. So anyway, yesterday, while all of this death and destruction is going on, I’m driving down the road listening to Rush Limbaugh’s usual conservative blatherings and this moron calls into the show and leaves me completely dumbfounded. He was saying how the government shouldn’t give any federal money to these people down in the gulf coast that the hurricane is ravaging because they should have known the risks of living in that region and why should we as taxpayers have to pay for this. I was stupefied but still listening because I thought that “any second now Rush will come to the rescue and verbally demolish this guy”. But, unfortunately I was wrong and I about drove off the road after hearing Rushes response. He said, “Ya I totally agree, and I just know that the liberals are going to use this politically to say that we shouldn’t be at war because we don’t have enough National guard troops to go down there and help”. I was flabbergasted; can’t these heartless bastards depart from politics for one son of a bitching second and feel some empathy in their hearts for the people in this tragedy? How in the hell are you gonna make the case that we shouldn’t help people caught in a natural disaster??? This is the exact reason why I am a registered Independent, these heartless douchbags say some of the stupidest shit sometimes that I feel that they leave me no choice.
