My Need
I have a need. It's a need that transcends anything physical and comes from a place that seems to reside deeper than the marrow of my bones. That need is to draw the most from the experiences, good or bad, that I have. We are on this earth to learn, and experience is the most effective teacher. I believe that our unique experiences are thrown into our path to teach us the wisdom and humility we are lacking. I am reaching the end of my little sabbatical down here at the ranch and my leg, though not better yet, is feeling good. As I prepare to make my departure from this warm little corner of the earth back to the everyday grind of the bustling city, my only prayer going forth is that I hope I have seen what it was that the Lord wanted me to see. I also hope that I may return a bit wiser and healthy amount more humble.
